Breakthrough Addition To Digital Product Suite Centralizes Data, Documents and Assets, Adding Long-Sought Efficency and Collaboration To The Creative Process.
BURBANK, CA – Cast & Crew, the premier provider of technology-enabled payroll, accounting and production management solutions to the entertainment industry, today introduced Studio+, its latest digital product, which reinvents production workflow by simplifying storage, distribution, collaboration and access – while automating many previously manual and complex processes. Built to be flexible – from pre-production to post, from small set to large studio – the system can be easily scaled to fit any production’s workforce.
“Cast & Crew is focused on developing and delivering products that make our clients’ lives easier and their processes better,” said Guillaume Aubuchon of Cast & Crew’s Product Innovation team. “Studio+ is a studio content hub that does just that, as it touches every element of the entertainment production lifecycle. Most importantly, it adds an unprecedented level of automation, efficiency and intelligence to the workflows central to production. Our customers inspired us to build this product, making it clear they were dissatisfied with the available solutions. Simply put, there is no other product available today that does what Studio+ does.”
Aubuchon added that, with Studio+, a user can search text and tags of any document; comment on any assets in real time, including documents, video and audio; share secure links anywhere in the world, and administer and grant permissions to subsets of files. Moreover, it seamlessly integrates with screenwriting software developed and marketed by Final Draft, which is owned by Cast & Crew.

Studio+ is the latest product in Cast & Crew’s growing “+ suite” of digital payroll, accounting and production management tools. Earlier digital solutions include Start+ for crew onboarding and Hours+ for time capture.
“Payroll and accounting have always been at our core, but now we are doing something more than that,” said John Berkley, President, Cast & Crew. “Through our digital product development and strategic acquisitions of the past two years, we are playing a central role in enabling great creativity – through big studio films, smaller independent productions, music festivals and commercials.
“Studio+ is a game-changer for both studios and production companies. It provides a unified platform to easily store, find, access and distribute all of a production’s digital assets. Also, because it is part of our fully integrated suite of products, everything seamlessly works together – from scriptwriting to pre-production, and from production to post.”
