Cast & Crew Entertainment Services made some additions to its executive team this month.
The Burbank payroll and production management services firm appointed David Benavente as the new vice president of strategic sales and promoted Durressa Powers to vice president of payroll operations.
Benavente is a long-time industry veteran who worked for 22 years at Warner Bros. Entertainment and most recently served as director of business development at Tax Credit Co., in Los Angeles, where he handled implementation of the California Enterprise Zone Tax Credit Program.
At Cast & Crew, Benavente will oversee independent television sales and the financial services division, one of the company’s core services focused on production incentive financing, administrative services and consulting.
“Cast & Crew is the best in the business,” Benavente said in a prepared statement. “It is a truly innovative company that is effectively emphasizing new-product development while continuing to deliver the highest level of client services.”
Powers joined Cast & Crew in 2014 with a knowledge of unions and guilds, as well as federal and state regulations. As vice president of payroll operations she will oversee the payroll-processing department, client onboarding team, account management and specialized staff of payroll coordinators.
