THE INCENTIVES PROGRAM - TIP

On July 1, 2025, Governor Ned Lamont signed House Bill 7166 into law, thereby amending the Connecticut Film Production Tax Credit Program, as follows:

• Exempts an eligible production company that produces an interactive Internet website created for distribution or exhibition to the general public from the principal photography, postproduction costs, or the minimum spend requirements that other qualified productions must meet;
• Modifies the timeframe for applying for the Film Production Tax Credit voucher from 90 days after the last production expenses were incurred to 90 days after the completion of the independent certification; and,
• Clarifies that the administrative fees are nonrefundable.
