New York Sick Time

Effective May 1, 2014, most New York City employers are required to provide employees with paid sick leave under the New York City Earned Sick Time Act.

Production employers should use timecards to report and record all sick time requests.

Amongst other compliance duties, employers must make employees aware of their rights under the law. A sample “Notice of Employee Rights” is available here.
