October 11, 2011 ENACTED LEGISLATION (Signed by the Governor) CALIFORNIA (AB 1069) On October 9th, Governor Brown signed legislation extending the California film production tax incentive program for one additional year. The California Film Commission may now allocate up to $100 million annually in motion picture production credits thru June 30, 2015. Supporters of the program promise to reintroduce a bill for a full five-year extension when the state legislature reconvenes in early 2012. Joe Bessacini |
