NEW JERSEY September 27, 2011 Gov. Chris Christie vetoed a $420,000 tax credit for "Jersey Shore" even though the New Jersey Economic Development Authority had previously approved the credit. The Governor said "... as chief executive I am duty-bound to ensure that taxpayers are not footing a $420,000 bill for a project which does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens." Qualified productions can earn a 20% tax credit on expenses incurred in New Jersey. For more information please contact: Joe Bessacini |
