PROPOSED LEGISLATION (Still in the House or Senate)

NORTH CAROLINA (S 539) 

Senator Hartsell introduced a bill that proposes to make the film production credit nonrefundable and nontransferable with a 5 year carry forward.   The Governor is very supportive of the film program and it is not anticipated this bill will have any traction.

NORTH CAROLINA (S 764)

Senator Brock introduced a bill to limit the compensation of a highly compensated individual from $1million to $500,000.

NORTH CAROLINA (S 711)

Senator Mansfield has introduced a bill which would change the sunset date from January 1, 2014 to January 1, 2011.  The Governor is very supportive of the film program and it is not anticipated this bill will have any traction.
